Is the company’s general manager, and is based in Atlantida. She has been involved in tourism destination planning and development for over 15 years; playing a key role in many community-based tourism development initiatives across the country.  Isis has visited every corner of Honduras, assisted local entrepreneurs in improving their management capacities, and has an extensive and growing network of contacts across the country. She holds a BA in Tourism from Universidad Tecnologica de Honduras, as well as multiple specialty courses. An avid photographer and birding enthusiast, she coordinates trip logistics and supplier relations for Choose Honduras.

Meet the team:  Isis, Yobani, and Gustavo make up the Choose Honduras core team. A shared passion and commitment for sustainable tourism development brought them together in 2002 and they have since collaborated as project managers, subject-matter experts, and consultants in numerous sustainable tourism destination planning and development initiatives across Honduras. The team assisted the Honduran government in drafting the first tour guide legislation and helped define the role and importance of training local tour guides.


Is responsible for marketing strategy, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Gustavo is a passionate tourism professional with over 20 years of industry experience in destination planning, product development and training. A lifelong learner, he has an MBA in Tourism & Hospitality Mgt. from the University of Guelph, a BBA in Tourism & Hospitality Mgt. from St. Thomas University and a Destination Planning Certificate from the University of Valencia. Gustavo enjoys assisting local entrepreneurs and community leaders in finding ways of improving the local economies through sustainable tourism, while enhancing and improving the visitor experience.  He enjoys cooking, hiking, and traditional hand line fishing.


Is one of Honduras’ most respected tour guides. With over 25 years of field experience, he is an expert birding and Maya culture guide. He holds a BA in Tourism from Universidad Tecnologica de Honduras, is a Certified National Tour Guide with specialties in birdwatching and Mayan archaeology, and a founding member of the Copan Tour Guide Association. Yobani is responsible for trip itineraries, as well as identifying and training local tour guides. Yobani is an avid birder, and after a long day birding or exploring Mayan ruins he prepares the tastiest and most refreshing Micheladas in the country!
